About Jessica
Jessica Lee Anderson's passion is
writing literature for children.
Trudy is her first novel and was
released fall 2005 by Milkweed
Editions. She has a forthcoming
novel titled Border Crossing.
Presidential Pets was released fall
2006 by Seedling Publications.
Jessica's short story, "Miracle on
Stone Street," appears in Mistletoe
Madness by Blooming Tree Press.
She has written fiction and
non-fiction for Highlights for
Children, Wee Ones Magazine, and
Holiday Crafts 4 Kids. I
n 2004, Jessica graduated from
Hollins University with a Master of
Arts in Children's Literature. She
is currently an instructor at the
Institute of Children's Literature.
Her experiences have ranged from
teaching, to selling computers,
and to working as a vision
therapist.
When not writing, Jessica likes to
travel and spend time with family
and friends. She lives north of
Austin, Texas with her husband,
Michael, and their dog, Buster, a
Yorkshire "Terror."
